Fortifying for a good hand

Poker Faces The slew of celebs in town for last night's poker tourney benefiting the Face of an Angel Foundation made the most of Boston's bar scene Saturday.

The gang, which included actors Donnie Wahlberg, Joe Reitman, John Ratzenberger, Tom Brady-lookalike Geoff Stults from ''7th Heaven," and Jeff Donovan from ''Hitch," started the evening at Spire, where Wahlberg stepped into the kitchen for a tour of the pots and pans. Reitman, the Boston boy whose ex is ''American Pie" beauty Shannon Elizabeth, showed up with his new squeeze, the professional card shark and Concord, N.H., native Annie Duke. (Elizabeth had been scheduled to appear but backed out.)

From Spire, the crowd headed over to Smith & Wollensky for an Atkins-approved meal comped by Jim Dunn, the steakhouse's president and managing partner. And for some late night fun, it was off to Gypsy Bar on Boylston Street, where the real Tom Brady joined the VIPs. (No, Bridget Moynahan was not with him.) Apparently unsatisfied with the view inside, Stults, we're told, invited a few of the fair maidens waiting outside to come on in.

That was all just a warmup for last night's Texas Hold 'Em poker tournament at The Big Easy, where more stars -- ''SNL" cast member Seth Meyers, among others -- were set to throw down.
