Mansion Poker sponsors Holyfield fight

Mansion Poker has thrown its hat into the ring by sponsoring tonight's boxing match between Evander Holyfield and Jeremy Bates. This is Holyfield's first fight in his quest for a fifth heavyweight title.

"We are proud to be associated with top competitors by sponsoring prestigious events around the globe, and the significant Holyfield first fight back from injury is anticipated to be the ultimate display of dedication, experience, skill and performance," said David Kinsman, chief operating officer for Mansion Poker.

The Holyfield vs. Bates fight is scheduled for ten rounds and will headline a seven-bout card being televised on Fox Sports Net. The 43-year-old Holyfield is returning to the ring after a 21-month break to let a shoulder injury heal and is hoping to make his way toward a fifth world title.

"After three disappointing fights with a nagging shoulder injury, I took time to let my body heal, and with proper training, I am now 100% and ready to go," Holyfield said.

Their involvement in such a high-profile event will give Mansion Poker a lot of exposure in the sports world especially with their logo being prominently displayed on all four sides of the boxing ring and the corner pads behind each of the fighters.

"Our continued exploration of sports sponsorships demonstrates our respect for the sporting ideal, and we understand that poker players are by their nature equally fanatical about sports of all sorts," Kindsman said.
