California bound for ladies poker tournaments

With ladies poker growing at a phenomenal rate, it's not surprising that there are good opportunities for fun, thrills and reward in major "ladies only" tourneys upcoming this (August) month.

In California, both the Bicycle and Commerce casinos are getting the tables ready, starting on August 19 at the Bicycle, where as part of the Legends of Poker Tournament, there is a scheduled two day $100+25 Ladies event.

Then, the Commerce casino is teaming up with the LIPS Tour for the Ladies Poker Dream Weekend: Where Poker Dreams Come True scheduled for August 26th and 27th. The event includes a wine tasting, two luncheon buffets, a seminar with WPT stars Linda Johnson and Jan Fisher, and two budget minded NLHE tournaments at $120 and $225.

Johnson and Fisher have impressive credentials: Fisher has two WSOP Ladies Event final tables to her credit and Johnson's most recent triumph was this year's Orleans Open Ladies Event.

Winners will get to represent the host casinos in the LIPS Tour Grand Championship, and that leads to a sponsored seat in the 2007 WSOP Ladies Event, the LIPS/WPT Event and five entries into LIPS Tour events for next season.
