Party Poker Premier League Poker V Casts Patrik Antonius as New Member

PartyPoker.com Premier League Poker V line-up will once again gather in April and before this happens, another fantastic player has been added to their already stellar cast - Patrik Antonius, their Finnish star.

Antonius, 31-year-old, is a one-time European Poker Tour (EPT) champion. He will be joined by other poker stars like the English duo Luke ‘FullFlush’ Schwartz and Sam Trickett, American and Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbs, Nov. 2011 winner of the $25,000 Premier League Poker Mixed Game Championship in London Andy Frankenberger, and Lithuanian Team Party Poker Pro Tony G and Andy Frankenberger.

Frankenberger, their World Poker Tour (WPT) Player of the Year who came from New York will definitely have part of his work cut out for him when he efforts to add this title at the Monetesino as the 16-player line-up participate in the hefty $125,000 buy-in main event to be presented by Team Party Poker Pro Kara Scott. This happens as part of the World Poker Tour Vienna stop in April 4 to 10 this year.

There is a big BUT, however, to this scenario – the American will still have to compete in a televised play-off together with the other qualifiers starting April 1st through the 3rd as the 12 pros will be joined by a dozen more Party Poker qualifiers for a place in the 16-player main event. This event will highlight two groups of 8 players each who must fight this out over 4 league matches for a place at the eight-handed final table.

This event will also be featuring Party Poker’s $2,000 per point system as the top three players from each group heads directly to the final table and the fourth and fifth placed players play face up to a best-of-three heads-up encounter for the other two remaining spots among the chosen ones.

Six weekly satellites, freerolls and daily qualifiers are already being run by Party Poker right now and all these will in the end lead to a play-off place at WPT’s special event so to those who are interested, better sign up now before the deadline scheduled on March 18.

Whoever wins the main event will garner WPT World Championship seat valued at $25,500 for the May 19-26 event to be held in The Bellagio in Las Vegas. It’s also great to know that they have added $200,000 to the already hefty prize pool of $2 million, all for the Vienna tournament’s final table.
