NewTwist to Old WSOP Game

A few years ago the World Series of Poker did away with rebuy events because some people that those unlimited rebuys favored the pros. This year the WSOP brought back the rebuy event, somewhat. Event #51, the Triple chance No Limit Hold’em event had players buying in for $3,000. Each player got 3,000 chips, and the option for 2 additional stacks of the same size. Players did not have to bust out in order to get the additional chips.

In the end it was Ryan Welch who picked up the bracelet and more than a half million dollars. Some of the more notable players in the field were Tommy Vedes, Kathy Leibert, James Akenhead, Vitaly Lunkin, Joe Hachem, Tom McEvoy and Dennis Phillips.
