WSOP Stimulus Special draws big crowds

The 47th Event of the 2010 World Series of Poker has been dubbed the ‘Stimulus Special’ game because of its low $1,000 buyin. This year’s event had more than 3,100 players in the field and a total prize pool of more than $2.8 Million. The winner of the event was Shawn Busse, who scored his first WSOP bracelet and almost half a million dollars in prize money.

There were plenty of big named pros in this event including Tom Dwan, Billy Baxter, Antonio Esfandiari, Jerry Yang, James Akenhead, Shannon Elizabeth, Chris Ferguson, Chris Moneymaker, Mickey Appleman and Teddy ‘Iceman’ Monroe.

Of the 3,128 players in the game, the top 324 players would finish in the money. The final table results were:
