$1K WSOP crowns Canadian victor
Scott Montgomery of Ontario, Canada was outlasted some 3,101 players in Event #36, the $1,000 No Limit Hold’em game. For his victory, Montgomery won $481K and his 1st WSOP bracelet. This was his 9th cash in a WSOP event.
The event took 5 days total, two Day 1s were played to accommodate the amount of players who entered the dubbed ‘Stimulus Special’ event. There were plenty big named poker pros that entered this competition but some of those pros who cashed here were Svetlana Gromenkova, and Marco Traniello.
