Congrats to Pascal LeFrancois, winner of WSOP Event #8

French-Canadian poker player Pascal LeFrancois has won his first WSOP gold bracelet after beating a field of 2,341 players in the $1,500 No Limit Hold’em event in the 2010 WSOP.

The event started on Wednesday with 2,341 players and play stopped with just 277 players remaining. Thursday’s play went until the last 25 players were named and Day 3 of the event started on June 4th with Phil Hellmuth hoping to pick up his 12th bracelet.

Final table action started at about 10pm on Wednesday and it took just 3 hours to get to the final two players. Max Steinberg went into the heads up play with 1.3 Million in chips to LeFrancois’ dominating 9.18 Million chips. Only four hands later and Steinberg would lose all his chips sending him home in 2nd place.
