WPT Hollywood Poker Open finishes Day 1

The first World Poker Tour event in the Midwest began at the Hollywood Casino in Lawrenceberg, IL over the weekend. The Main Event of the mini series was a $10,000 No Limit Hold’em game that attracted 143 players. Only 12 of those who entered will be walking away with money. The final table for the event will begin on Wednesday March 25th.

Quite a lot of the original entrants survived Day 1. There are 103 players still in contention for the top prize of nearly $400,000. The second day of action begins today at noon local time.
