Team PokerStars adds another pro
The pro team at PokerStars.com has added a new member. Julian Thew, a resident of Nottingham, England was named the newest member of the team.
“I’m thrilled to have been offered a spot on Team PokerStars Pro, and I look forward to promoting the brand on my travels throughout the year,” said Thew.
The Nottingham, England, resident is one of the most successful tournament players in Europe, sitting in 13th place among all active players on the European Poker Tour’s leader board. He is the highest-ranking British player on that tour, and has earned more than $2.5 million in his career.
Most notably, Thew won the main event at EPT Baden in season four, picking up €670,800. He also has had success elsewhere, winning main events at the Venetian Deepstack Extravaganza and the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour.
Thew is the fifth member of Team PokerStars Pro UK, joining John Duthie, Vicky Coren, Jude Ainsworth, and J.P. Kelly.
