The Action Down Under Gets Started
The 2010 Aussies Millions poker tournament series began last week at the Crown Casino in Melbourne, Australia. The first event was a $1,100 AUD no limit hold’em game and had 1,143 players register to win their share of the $1.1Million AUD prize pool. This years’ series could set records as the largest live poker tournament in Australia’s poker history.
The Aussie Millions series will have a total of 20 poker events and will run until January 31st. The Main Event will be a $10,000AUD no limit Hold’em game and will run from Jan 24-30. Some of the other events of the series are sure to bring plenty of big players. There are three other events with large buy ins including the $10K HORSE, $10K pot limit Omaha and the $100,000 no limit Hold’em challenge.
Last year’s Main Event at the Aussie Million drew a field of 681 players and the winner, Stewart Scott, look home the top prize of $1.38million AUD.
A full schedule of the events is listed below and all dollar amounts are in AUD.
