Berkley to Host Poker Tournament

The Berkley Township Little League will be hosting a charity poker event and they are looking for players for their Texas Hold’em poker tournament and casino night. The event will raise money for baseball equipment and other amenities for the new volunteer center at the Little League complex.

Early birds who buy their tickets for the event by Friday will receive bonus chips. The event will be held Feb. 27 at the new facility at Moorage Avenue. Doors open at 4:30 p.m., and play begins at 6 p.m.

The poker entry fee is $100 per player and includes $10,000 in starting chips and buffet snacks. The cost for the casino night is $50, and participants receive $200 in chips. A cash bar will be available. Those who attend must be 21 and older.

The grand prize for the poker tournament will be up to $2,500 in Visa gift cards. The grand prize for the casino night, which includes blackjack, roulette and craps, is a four-day Canadian Carnival cruise for two. Chances may also be taken on giant gift baskets.
