Bodog.com founder featured in People magazine
The June 16 issue of People magazine marks the first time an online gaming CEO is being featured in the magazine.
Calvin Ayre, founder and CEO of Bodog.com, was named as one of the world's "Hottest Bachelors" in the issue.
"This coverage in People is good for Bodog.com and good for our industry. Being seen in the media this way sets a strong example of the mainstreaming of online gaming, and serves as another tool to educate and inform players about our company," said Ayre about the article. "Of course, it's extremely complimentary to appear along with my fellow bachelors Taylor Hicks and Matthew McConaughey."
Ayre's appearance in the "Hottest Bachelors" issue makes him the first person to appear both there and to be featured on the cover of Forbes' "Billionaires" issue in the same year.
Ayre joined investor Ron Burkle and PayPal founder David O. Sack in the "Money Doesn't Make the Man … but it sure doesn't hurt" section of hottest bachelors. In total, 41 bachelors appear in the issue.
