The $109 Pot Limit Omaha with rebuys and the $120 Ante Up For Africa event both had their winners awarded the gold FTOPS jersey avatar. The $2,620 No Limit Holdfem event finished the first of its scheduled two days.
This was the first time for the Ante Up For Africa event to be played in the FTOPS, with its $100 buy in a $20 fee that went directly to African charities. The event drew an impressive 2,367 players making the prize pool $236,700 and $47,340 raised to benefit charities. The event brought in some big named poker players and even Rounders star Matt Damon took a seat in the game.
Winner of the tournament was ewarren_ace1f, he took home more than $48,000. The runner up in the event and winner of more than $31,000 was eberkey11f. The top finisher of the Full Tilt pro team was Micheal Tureniec who finished in 184th place. Damon finished in 1637th.
