Web only Poker show should be good for ESPN

The largest online poker website, PokerStars.net, and ESPN are teaming up to produce a new online only poker show titled ‘Inside Deal’. The new show is set to start screening in early August.

The show will be carried by PokerStars.net and will be hosted by Laura Lane, ESPN Magazine contributor and poker pro. ESPN.com Columnist Bernard Lee and ESPN.com Poker editor Andrew Feldman will give fans a behind the scenes look at the life of a poker pro, according to pre publicity material released earlier this week.

The show will air over the next three months and the hopes are that it will be a boost for the World Series of Poker Main Event final table that will be played in November. Included on the show will be excerpts from the 2009 WSOP and interviews will the ‘November Nine’ final table players.

Poker fans are being encouraged to interact with the show and provide comments and ask questions of the personalities via email, Twitter and Facebook. Fans can also expect to see a prize winning competition to encourage fan participation

The first featured guest on "Inside Deal" is likely to be Chris Moneymaker, who's epic come-from-nowhere Main Event WSOP win back in 2003 really put the Internet player on the map. Moneymaker started out with a $39 online satellite qualifier win that led to a Main Event seat and a first place cash for $2.5 million.

Other top poker aces scheduled to appear on the new show are Daniel Negreanu and Joseph Hachem..
