The 2009 World Series of Poker is one day closer to determining the final nine players who will be back in November to play for the bracelet and more than $8.4 Million.

There were 64 players who started yesterday, Day 7. It only took about 15 minutes of play before the first casualty of the day occurred. Prahlad Friedman was eliminated early in the day and was the last player left who would earn less than $100K for his finish. The 63 players left would earn no less than $108K. Dennis Phillips, who was at the final table of the Main Event last year was eliminated in 45th place. Two big poker pros are left, Phil Ivey is 4th in the chip count and Antonio Esfandiari is 20th in chips. The remaining 27 players will come back today at noon to play down to the ‘November Nine’. Chip counts look like this:
