World Series of Poker Main Event update

Just 64 of the 6,494 entrants to the 2009 World Series of Poker Main Event are still in the game. Day 7 was completed yesterday and today’s action will lead us to the final table.

The remaining players will take there seats today at noon Las Vegas time and play will continue until there are just 9 players left. Those nine final table players will return to the Rio’s Amazon room in November to finish playing. Each of those nine players from the final table will take home at least $1.2 Million with the first place winner taking home more than $8.5 Million! As for the other prizes in this event, the next player to exit the event will receive $90,344. At that point, all remaining players will take home at least $108,047. The final 64 players and their chip counts are listed below.
