2009 World Series of Poker… so far
The 2009 World Series of Poker has exceeded the expectations of many people. Before the series started there were predictions that the entries would be down by close to 30% from last year. While some of the events, like the $50,000 H.O.R.S.E. game saw less than half the players that were in it last year, most of the other games have outdone last years numbers.
So far we have seen three players win multiple bracelets. Phil Ivey picked up two bracelets, as did Greg Mueller. Jeff Lisandro picked up 3 bracelets this year.
Tomorrow is the start of the $10,000 No Limit Hold’em Championship Main Event game. Play in that game will last until July 15th when the final table has been set. Then, like the 2008 WSOP, those final nine players will return to the table sometime in November to finish the game.
