Phil Ivey Doubles up

On World Series of Poker bracelets that is.

Ivey has won his 2nd WSOP bracelet this year’s series and his seventh overall after winning the $2,500 Omaha/Seven Card Hi/Lo 8 or better event. Ivey’s other bracelet win in this series was in the $2,500 Deuce to Seven Draw Lowball event.

Phil has been considered one of the best all around poker players for quite some time. Dominating in almost every game that he plays whether online or live. His ability to read his opponents is uncanny.

Before the start of the 2009 World Series of Poker, Ivey set up a number of prop bets with his poker peers about him winning another WSOP bracelet. Exact details of the bets are not known but since Ivey just picked up his 2nd bracelet of the series one would expect that he is going to pocket, maybe, millions.

This latest bracelet win puts Ivey in 6th place All Time for bracelets, tied with Billy Baxter.

With the series only halfway over it Ivey still has many chances to win a third or even fourth bracelet this year.
