25 Billionth Hand Dealt at PokerStars

PokerStars has reached a milestone like no other online poker room has ever done, but there were a few hiccups along the way. During the wee hours of last night, the 25 Billionth hand was dealt at PokerStars. With so many people on PokerStars to try to win a piece of the prize money, it wasn’t surprising that there were a couple site crashes along the way.

The fun started once the 24.5Billionth hand was dealt. At that point players who won a hand that marked each additional million hands dealt shared a little chunk of the winnings.

The only thing more memorable about that milestone 25billionth hand, is that one player seated at the table didn’t but a blind in and therefore lost out on any prize. The milestone hand was reached at a $1/$2 Limit Omaha Hi/Lo table. More than 1000 people were on the waiting list to get a seat at that lucky table.

Six players were seated, but only 5 players had posted their blinds, ‘Confederate’ was waiting until the blinds got around to him. That mistake cost him over $30k in prize money. The other five players seated and the prizes they won are as follows:

NeonFrost: Won high pot — $50,000 and tournament package
tupapi777: Won low pot — $50,000 and tournament package
FrtSpkndMn: $33,333.33
n47j25s: $33,333.33
chris12080: $33,333.33
