Final table set for WSOP Circuit event at Harrahs

After two days of action, the final table has been set for the first of the WSOP Circuit Championship events of 2009. It only took three hours for the returning 27 players yesterday to whittle the field down to the final nine.

Some of the notable names that were in the final 27 were ‘Captain’ Tom Frankin, Jordan Morgan, Va Shon Watkins and Kathy Leibert, who was that last woman remaining in the game.

The rate of the players going out was quite quick and was even quicker once they hit the money. Gavin Smith won the title of bubble man for this event, finishing 10th to earn $14,718.

Final table action will get underway at 2 p.m. CT today with Matt Stout holding a commanding chip lead. Here are the final table players in seat order:
