Jason Alexander signed by PokerStars

Celebrity poker buff, Jason Alexander has joined team PokerStars as its newest spokesperson. Alexander will represent PokerStars brand online and at live poker events including this years World Series of Poker as well as the global poker tour circuit events hosted by PokerStars.

“PokerStars has very graciously asked me to sign on as one of their official players,” Alexander said. “I am very flattered and happy to be playing for a real quality site and with the kind of professionals that remind me every day how truly mediocre I am at this game. But I'm learning. And now I can learn from some of the best.”

Many people recognize Alexander from his years as ‘George’ on the sitcom ‘Seinfeld. He now joins the PokerStars ‘international celebrity ambassadors’ team that also includes former tennis pro Boris Becker, Cy Young Award winner Orel Hershiser and NHL player Mats Sundin.

Alexander will play online as “J. Alexander.” A long-time fan of poker, Alexander has played in a handful of major events, including the 2008 NBC Heads-Up Championsip (where he wore PokerStars gear), and he was a mainstay on the old poker show Celebrity Poker Showdown.

Alexander like Hershiser, he is represented by Poker Royalty.
