MTV to air Stacked Masters Showdown Tournament

MTV is set to broadcast the MTV Stacked Masters Showdown Tournament where four "Stacked" players will compete live against poker pro Daniel Negreanu in a final, Single Table tournament in the Showdown Grand Finale in Las Vegas.

Highlights from the final will be broadcast on MTV in a special segment.


Players interested in auditioning for the Showdown Grand Finale need to compete in MTV Stacked Masters Showdown Tournaments and must be 21 years of age or older and a legal resident of the continental U.S.

Eligible players must be registered at Stacked.mtv.com and have a play money bankroll of a minimum of $1,000. Bankroll size can be increased through cash games and user-created daily Single Table and Multi-Table satellites that will run for six weeks beginning on June 18. Each player will begin with $2,000 in their play money bankrolls.

Players can also add to their bankrolls by competing in MTV Stacked Masters Showdown Tournaments and finishing in the money. Players can also earn a one time MTV Stacked Masters Tournament entry token when playing offline in career mode. MTV Stacked Masters Tournaments are scheduled, live events and will be broadcast live on MTV.

In order to qualify for the live final in Vegas, players must earn Masters Points and a place on the leaderboard. The number of Masters Points a player earns are dependant on the tournament buy-in, size of the playing field, and placement.

Grand Finale competitors will be selected entirely at the discretion of the MTV staff.
