Seeing pink? Chrome Divas Breast Cancer Poker Run today

Florida - About 300 motorcyclists will be riding around Tallahassee today as part of the 7th annual Chrome Divas of Tallahassee Breast Cancer Poker Run. Riders started their 85-mile trip at Capital City Harley Davidson and will will end their rides at 1:30 p.m. at The Moon.

“Bikers are really nice people believe it or not,” said Chrome Divas director Jeanne Giuliani. “They love doing things for charity.”

Proceeds benefit Tallahassee Memorial Hospital’s A Woman’s Place and the Sharon Ewing Walker Breast Health Center and help provide patients with informational material and post-mastectomy bras and prosthetics.

“Last year we raised $10,000 however the weather wasn’t real good,” said Chrome Divas director Jeanne Giuliani. “This year we are hoping to raise $12,000 and $15,000.”

Giuliani said the TMH Foundation handles the money they receive and they won’t know exactly how much they’ve made for three to four weeks.
Other activities included live music by the Jett Blue Band, lunch, a silent auction, door prizes and more.

The Chrome Divas, a ladies only motorcycle group, originated in 2002 in Tallahassee and has chapters nationally and internationally.
