APT Signs Top Poker Pros

The Asian Poker Tour recently finished their APT Macau and during that time Asian Logic, parent company of the APT, signed three top poker players to their pro list.

THe winner of the APT Macau HIgh Roller Event, Nam Le, was first to be signed followed by Quinn Do, third place finisher in the High Roller Event.

When asked about Le, Tom Hall, CEO of AsianLogic plc said: “ We have big plans for these guys and are happy they signed with us to spread the word about the APT worldwide. We expected success but such a result for two of the ambassadors so quickly is brilliant!”

At just 25 years old, Nam Le is considered to be one of the best live tournament players. Le has had numerous WSOP and WPT cash finishes and won the 2006 Shooting Star WPT Championship and the 2006 Scotty Nguyen Poker Challenge II. Le has earned more than $4.3 million playing poker.

Quinn Do was the 20th overall finisher at the APT Manila. Do began plahing poker full time in 2004 after attending the University of Washington, and won a WSOP bracelet in 2005. He has also had several cash finishes in the WSOP and WPT.

The third player to be signed by the Asian Poker Tour was J.C. Tran, even though he didn't do very well at the APT Macau. Tran is currently the top ranked poker player worldwide by Bluff Magazine/ESPN. He has won more almost $7 million playing poker. Tran also won event 49 at this years WSOP.

Asian Logic recently aquired the Asian Poker tour and as part of their restructuring will hold four poker events this year in Asia. Next year, the Tour plans to increase this to a total of six events. Each tournament is set to attract live players as well as internet players who will qualify via online satellites. Each main event will offer a minimum guaranteed USD $1 million prize pool.
