2008-09 World Series of Poker Circuit Schedule Announced

The 2008-09 World Series of Poker Circuit schedule announced this week by Harrah’s Entertainment includes a total of 10 stops including the newest addition, Chicago.

The first stop runs October 2-14 at Horseshoe Southern Indiana, formerly known as Caesars Indiana. From there the Circuit moves to the Horseshoe Hammond for its Chicago-area debut. The tour will also make stops at Harrah’s properties in Lake Tahoe, NV, Tunica, MS, Council Bluffs, Iowa, San Diego, CA, Las Vegas, NV, New Orleans, LA as well as two stops in Atlantic City, NJ at both Caesars and Harrah’s.

"Playing World Series of Poker Circuit events is the best way to hone your live tournament poker skills in a friendly and competitive environment," said Jeffrey Pollack, Commissioner of the World Series of Poker. "We continue to fine tune the World Series of Poker Circuit schedule and structures to deliver poker players the best tournaments throughout the year."

The main event at each Circuit stop is a $5,000 No Limit Hold’em event. The winner of each main event will receive a WSOP Circuit championship ring and entry to the 2009 WSOP Main Event. Former Circuit winners include Chris “Jesus” Ferguson, Allen Cunningham and Daniel Negreanu.
