Pros monopolize WSOP wins so far

Half way through the World Series of Poker and we have seen some new stars rise and some old stars shine a little brighter. As a matter of fact, 20 of the 26 bracelets won so far this year have been won by pro poker players.

First it was Nenad Medic, and then came bracelet wins from David Singer, Erick, Lindgren, Mike Matusow and Daniel Negreanu. Add to that list : Matt Keikoan, Anthony Rivera, Svetlana Gromenkova, Andrew Brown, Scott Seiver, and Blair Hinkle and your 2008 WSOP winners so far sound more like a roll call of the pros. And we sure wouldn’t forget the lastest pro, Barry Greenstien, who won the $1,500 7 Card Razz.

Now we wait to see how many more pros win bracelets as Doyle Brunson and Johnny Chan try to catch up with Phil Hellmuth to win their 11th bracelet each.
