Online Poker: “xPEOPLES CHAMPx” Takes Down Full Tilt Poker $750K

The $750,000 Guaranteed on Full Tilt Poker featured a small overlay this week of $8,600 with only 3,707 players registering for the event. Coming out on top of that field was xPEOPLES CHAMPx who took home the $132,788 first place prize shortly after midnight. When the final table got underway timmy720 was the chipleader with 3,768,107 while xPEOPLES CHAMPx had the third largest stack at 1,190,964.

Chip Counts and Seating Assignments of Final Table

Seat 1: Magma1000 (423,204)
Seat 2: breeth (1,095,319)
Seat 3: RustySea (978,879)
Seat 4: Rdgfish (1,752,465)
Seat 5: xPEOPLES CHAMPx (1,190,964)
Seat 6: timmy720 (3,768,107)
Seat 7: JETNUT (338,004)
Seat 8: futbolin (903,468)
Seat 9: NutmilkmouZ (670,590)

JETNUT eliminated in 9th place

With blinds of 25k/50k (6k antes) RustySea min-raised to 100,000 from the hijack and was called by JETNUT in the big blind. The flop came 3d 9c Jh and JETNUT pushed all-in for 287,004 more. After thinking about it for a few seconds RustySea called and showed Ad Jd while JETNUT held 7s 8h and would need a ten or running cards to keep him alive. The turn brought the Qh and the river was a meaningless 3h and JETNUT was the first player eliminated from final table play.

Magma1000 eliminated in 8th place

Blinds were now at 30k/60k (7.5k antes) when Magma1000 moved all-in for 268,704 and was called by RustySea. Magma1000 held Ad 8c while his opponent held pocket jacks. The board failed to produce any ace or any other help for Magma1000 and RustySea had eliminated his second player at the final table as Magma1000 was out in 8th place.

breeth eliminated in 7th place

A full level of play would pass before another player would be sent to the rail. Blinds had increased to 40k/80k (10k antes) when breeth moved all-in for 631,855 from UTG. From the button timmy720 re-raised all-in and the remaining players folded. breeth showed As 8c but was dominated by the Ac Qh of timmy720. The board failed to produce any of the three remaining eights or any help for breeth and he was eliminated in 7th place.

NutmilkmouZ eliminated in 6th place

Two minutes later another player’s night would come to an end with a five-figure pay day. Under the gun NutmilkmouZ moved all-in for 829,590 only to be called by futbolin in the big blind. With the cards flipped over a fairly standard race situation unfolded with NutmilkmouZ holding Ac 8d to the pocket threes of futbolin. The coin flip situation saw the board produce Td Qh 5h Jh 5s and the baby pair was good enough for futbolin to win and NutmilkmouZ was out in 6th place.

RustySea eliminated in 5th place

Blinds had increased to 50k/100k (10k antes) when xPEOPLES CHAMPx made his first strong move of the final table. From UTG+1 xPEOPLES CHAMPx raised to 350k and both futbolin and RustySea called from the blinds. The flop came Ks 2c 9s and after futbolin checked, RustySea moved all-in for 884,587 and xPEOPLES CHAMPx re-raised all-in behind him, futbolin folded. xPEOPLES CHAMPx showed Kd Jc for top pair while RustySea flipped over pocket fives. The turn and river bricked out for RustySea and he was out in 5th position.

timmy720 eliminated in 4th place

Despite entering the final table with the chip lead timmy720 wasn’t able to put together any string of hands to help him build his stack. Blinds were still at the same level when Rdgfish limped from UTG only to have xPEOPLES CHAMPx raise to 400k from UTG+1 and then have timmy720 move all-in from UTG+2 for 2,514,994; xPEOPLES CHAMPx called and showed pocket tens to the Ah Qh of timmy720. The flop and turn bricked out for timmy720 and when xPEOPLES CHAMPx made a set on the river timmy720 was out in 4th place.

futbolin eliminated in 3rd place

By the time play was three handed xPEOPLES CHAMPx had built a substantial chip lead. With 8 million of the 11 million chips in play he was free to tango with any of the other two remaining players. With blinds of 60k/120k (15k antes) futbolin moved his 996,026 chips into the middle from UTG and xPEOPLES CHAMPx called from the big blind. futbolin showed As 6d while xPEOPLES CHAMPx had him dominated with Ah Js. The board came Td Ks 8s 5c 7d and the ace and jack would both play for xPEOPLES CHAMPx who was now heads-up with 9 million chips after futbolin was eliminated in 3rd place.

Rdgfish eliminated in 2nd place

After an epic heads-up battle that saw the chip lead shift back-and-forth like Hillary Clinton facing sniper fire xPEOPLES CHAMPx finally put away Rdgfish, who started heads-up play with only 2.1 million in chips. Rdgfish called and xPEOPLES CHAMPx called to see a flop of 7s 2h 8h. xPEOPLES CHAMPx led out for 400k and was min-raised by Rdgfish. Rather than call xPEOPLES CHAMPx moved all-in and was called by Rdgfish after some thought. xPEOPLES CHAMPx showed 5s 8c for a pair of eights while Rdgfish showed Kh 6h for the second nut flush draw. The turn came 8d and the river brought no heart eliminating Rdgfish in 2nd place.
