Seventeen Players Eliminated in Under Three Hours To Reach Final Table

Twenty-six players took to the felt on day three at the PokerStars.com European Poker Tour Polish Open in Warsaw yesterday and less than three hours after the cards were in the hour 17 players had been eliminated, nine were left to populate the final table, and everyone was heading home for the evening.

The €5,750 buy-in event, which attracted 359 players, and the remaining nine will duck and dive through this afternoon and into the evening in their attempt to take down the €600,000 first prize.

An early exit was the fate of Irishman Andy Black who busted in 24th after his Q-J could not overtake PokerStars qualifier and PokerStars Carribean Adventure finalist Craig Hopkins A-5. The players began to fall like skittles with Dan Pedersen, and Sebastian Ruthenberg other notable casualties. Claus Nielsen was the unfortunate final table bubble boy, his A-K falling victim to J-J.

The final table returns today at 2 p.m. and it’s made up like this:
