Poker tourney to help raise library funds

Ohio -- The New Vienna Lions Club is sponsoring a day of poker, food and fun as a fund-raiser for a new local library.

Beginning with registration at noon on Saturday, the public is invited to play Texas Hold-Em, with the winner taking home $250 (based on 50 players). Refreshments will be provided to all card-playing participants. Proceeds will be contributed to the community library fund (visit www.newvienna.net to learn more).

The tournament will occur at the New Vienna Fire Station on Rt. 28, about 1 mile west of town. The buy-in entry fee is $25 for adults 18 and older, which includes the cost of refreshments. For players needing re-buys within the first hour, the price is $20. Following registration at noon, tournament play begins at 1 p.m.
