Poker ride in Canada

Calling all riders

there’s a poker ride being organized for CFB Edmonton’s Family Resource program is planned for Nov. 11 at Heatherbrae Hall.
For just $10 a hand riders will travel around the section picking up cards at six stations ending at the hall.

Whoever has the best five card stud hand wins half the pot.
Christina Rehman, one of the organizers said the ride is open to all riders of every level, from trail walkers to barrel racers. The terrain is friendly for all types of riders and it’s a day for families to have fun and raise money for a worthy cause.
“We got the idea from a CBC program on families in the military,” She explained. “We thought we could raise money for the base’s program with this ride. Half of the money raised will go to the program.”
Rehman added there’s plenty of room at the hall for trailers. There will be refreshments and the hall will be open.
