Absolute poker cheating scandal

Rumours of a poker account which is cheating other players by having access to their information is currently shadowing online operator Absolute Poker.

Players have voiced suspicions on certain players, including forum posts on how the player seems to know the hole cards of opponents, and a Youtube video demonstrating questionable moves.

The security processes used by the company have been under debate in the online community, with players stating that they receive IP addresses of their opponents if they request their hand history.

Some players have claimed that they have traced the IP to an Absolute Poker domain. As a result of the interest that has been aroused, the Kahnawake Gaming Commission has stepped in and asked Gaming Associates, a testing and certification company, to conduct an audit.

No official comment has been made other than to confirm the audit is in place. Absolute Poker has denied any wrongdoing and have agreed to assist with any necessary investigations.
