Poker players: Mark your calendars for Nov. 11

Thousand Oaks, CA -- Be sure to mark your calendar for Sun., Nov. 11 when the Thousand Oaks Kiwanis Club Foundation presents its inaugural Texas Hold 'Em Poker Tournament with presenting sponsor Do-it-Center at the Borderline Bar & Grill, 99 Rolling Oaks Drive, just south of the 101 Freeway, off Moorpark Road in Thousand Oaks

Advance registration is $30 ($35 at the door), which includes a buffet dinner and casino funny money. The cost to buy into the poker tournament is $150, which gets the participant $10,000 in poker chip "play dough." If you bring five or more tournament players, the registration fee for each of these players is waived. Registration begins at 4 p.m. with poker instructions and silent auction. Poker tournament begins at 5 p.m., buffet dinner 6 p.m. The live auction is at 6:30 p.m. and then the tournament continues.

Grand prize for the poker tourney winner is an LCD big screen HDTV and a free buyin to a major local poker tournament. There are other great prizes for all "final table" players.
