Full Tilt Poker Confirms Poker Bots Bust

Several players of the online poker site, Full Tilt poker have reportedly received emails from the security department at Full Tilt advising them that refunds would be issued after several accounts had been caught using software commonly known as "bots" in the Texas Holdem' Limit cash games.


Full Tilt is believed to have froze all of these accounts exposed as well as seizing the money in the accounts.


Online poker players for some time have complained about possible "bots" being used in several cash games which Full Tilt had repeatedly denied. So far, management has not publicly announced the number of poker players affected but some players are estimating the numbers to be in the thousands.


Bots and online poker is nothing new to the online gambling community. In 2004, Mike Brunker of MSNBC did an article about bots becoming a significant problem for online poker with the newbie poker player the most vulnerable.


The Poker King website reported that two of the suspected "bot" accounts were JapintheSack and BeatMe1 although Full Tilt has not confirmed this.
