Two weeks to register for online Pub Poker Championship

The final countdown is on for licensees to register to win a Ladbrokes Caribbean cruise and celebrity poker night in their pub.

All publicans registering their pub for the Ladbrokespoker.com Online Pub Poker Championship before September 28 will also win a free pub poker pack - as long as 15 customers sign up to represent the pub in an online tournament.

Featuring tables, chips, cards and point-of-sale kits, as well as the booklet Guide to Running Compliant Pub Poker, the pack will help generate interest in poker in your pub, and help you set up your own games.

The licensee of the pub represented by the overall winner of the online tournament in December will win the Caribbean quiz – while the pub with the most points will qualify for the celebrity poker night.


Since September 1 pubs have been able to host poker and other equal-chance games without a licence - provided that:

• The maximum amount staked by a person on any game of chance is £5

• The maximum total staked on games of poker does not exceed £100 a day.
