Texas Dolly headlines CAP Euro Barcelona

Doyle Brunson has clocked in plenty of hours at the poker table, but his public speaking experience hardly qualifies him for distinguished Toastmasters status.

In a rare move, however, the legendary poker pro will headline the Casino Affiliate Programs' upcoming European conference in Barcelona, Spain, which is expected to be the biggest event of its kind this year.

Texas Dolly will be the keynote speaker at the CAP Euro conference, giving his talk Oct. 5 - the first day of the tournament. Up for discussion are Brunson's experiences in poker and the evolution of the poker industry over the last 50 years in which the 10-time World Series of Poker gold bracelet winner has been part of the game.

The talk will be Brunson's second European appearance in as many months, coming after his scheduled debut at the WSOP Europe in September.

The trips across the pond could have something to do with the expansion of online poker site DoylesRoom in order to appeal to European players.

Upcoming changes include the launch of a new look starting Sept. 1 that will focus on the United Kingdom and the rest of Europe. In a release, DoylesRoom said the new site considers CAP EURO one of the best platforms to communicate with European affiliates.

"When CAP Euro invited me to Barcelona to be their keynote speaker, I accepted as it complements our re-launch strategy," Brunson is quoted as saying in the release. "Reaching out to so many affiliates like this is the perfect way to generate awareness within Europe of the new look DoylesRoom.com."

After his keynote address, Brunson will stick around the convention for autograph sessions and photo opportunities Oct. 5 and 6.

CAP Euro in Barcelona is expected to be Europe's premiere networking event for affiliates and casino operators in the iGaming industry. The conference runs Oct. 5-7.

DoylesRoom, a site noted for numerous industry awards for its tournaments and customer service, is the only online poker site sponsored by Brunson.
