Habitat raises the stakes with poker tournament

Poker night proceeds will help build Habitat’s mission

HOLLIS, NH – Why drive to Foxwoods when you can gamble right in your back yard?


On Friday May 5th, Habitat for Humanity in Hollis, New Hampshire will hold a poker tournament fundraiser at Alpine Grove. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the games begin at 7 p.m.



Play is open to the public and players can buy into the tournament for $100 and receive $1,400 in tournament chips. Two rebuys of $35 each will be allowed, with the blinds starting at $25 and $50. With an expected attendance of 120 players, the prizes will range from $5,000 for the first-place finisher to $200 for the eighth-place finisher.



Players can either reserve a spot at the tournament by calling Don at 1-978-597-5527 or e-mail dlouellette@verizon.net or just come on down to Alpine Grove and sign up.



The Greater Nashua Habitat for Humanity is sponsoring this event.



All proceeds from this event will go toward Habitat’s mission of providing affordable housing for the working poor.
