WSOP players asked for their two bits

Your beef with those much-maligned shrouded final tables? If you are a player at the World Series of Poker, the time to speak up is now.

The WSOP is inviting all of its players to participate in a town hall meeting Wednesday from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Rio Pavilion's Brasilia 1 and 4 conference rooms.

On hand fielding questions and comments will be WSOP commissioner Jeffrey Pollack, tournament director Jack Effel and other World Series executives.

The meeting will be conducted as a forum as well as a question and answer session for tournament entrants and the media.

"What makes the World Series so special is that this is truly a players' tournament," Pollack said in a release announcing the meeting. "We know that many of our players have excellent ideas and we want to give them an opportunity to provide input that will make the WSOP better in the future."

Wednesday's meeting has potential to be an active one. This year's WSOP has been widely criticized for everything from its unfriendly media regulations to the overcrowded Amazon Room that caused the tournament to spill out into a tent to the frigid temperatures in the Rio.
