Amazing Race runner takes WSOPC event

Terry Lake Garner, a 37-year-old dentist from Hattiesburg, Miss., and known for his appearance on The Amazing Race, won event #9, $1,000+$60 No-Limit Hold'em, at the Bayou Poker Challenge Saturday.

One of the higher buy-in events at this year's World Series of Poker Circuit series stop in New Orleans, the tourney saw 266 players fork over coin, with Garner - who is no stranger to winning poker tournaments, having taken a World Poker Tour Season 3 event - eventually riding a final table chip lead all the way to the finish.

His final take: $82,566 and a gold WSOP Circuit ring for first place.
