And then there were eight. The final table of the European Poker Tour's Polish Open is locked down after Day 2 whittled the 94-person playing field to one patch of felt.
Farid Meraghni is the man to worry about when players circle the last tournament table at 2 p.m. local time today. With $971,000 in chips to his name, Meraghni holds a commanding lead over nearest competitor and former chip leader Peter Jepsen's $498,000 stack.
The action unfolds today at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Casino in Warsaw, with players vying for their piece of the event's more than $1 million prize pool.
