Twenty swim to top of Everest Poker Avalanche
The "real fun" isn't even supposed to be happening yet. But 20 happy Everest Poker players might disagree, as they've already banked $5,300 and a seat in the Avalanche online finale for a shot at $1 million guaranteed.
A nine-month cavalcade of live and online poker, the Everest Poker Avalanche has a three-round structure that allows for players at all levels.
Round 1 satellites are for the low-budget among us, with buy-ins of just $3+30¢ or $11+$1. Round 2 satellites up the stakes for players more confident in their ability and bankroll, with a buy-in of $56+$5.
Once you hit Round 3, the buy-in jumps dramatically to $530+$30, but so to does the reward. The top twenty in each Round 3 satellite take home a whack of cash and, more importantly, a spot in the big Avalanche finale on Sept. 17 for $1 million guaranteed.
Twenty more Everest Poker players are sitting pretty today, as the poker room has announced the latest winners of $5,300 and a prized Avalanche finale seat from the most recent Round 3 event Feb. 24.
Here's the list:

"After the online finale is finished, the real fun begins," May says. "The final 10 players from the last online event are going to each win a trip to play Hold'em poker at a live final table at an undisclosed location."
For players with big bankrolls that want to skip right to the top, buy-in for the Avalanche Finale is also available for $5,000+$300.
