UltimateBet to bankroll newest pro: you

Roll like a Hellmuth or a Duke - or just pick up some of their poker tips - by playing at UltimateBet. The poker room's latest promotion is an all-new Be a Pro freeroll, which includes a $100,000 first-place prize package.

Players can compete in one of the poker room's eight daily freerolls, which are already underway. The top five competitors will play in an April 8 final, starting at 8 p.m. (EST).

The real goods, however, are for those who make it to the top 100 in the final. These players will get a run at the first-place prize package - and this one isn't just a set of poker chips.

The winner of UltimateBet's Be a Pro event will win entry and travel to a high-stakes poker tournament of his choosing. Options include the World Poker Tour World Championship, World Series of Poker Main Event, Aruba 2007, WPT Bellagio Five Diamond Poker Classic, WPT Tunica, WPT Poker Classic or the European Poker Tour Deauville.

But that's not all. The winner will also earn a full set of UltimateBet gear to sport during the tournament, on top of preparatory lessons from the site's pros.

Second-place is also enticing, with a seat at the 2007 World Series of Poker Main Event up for grabs. The cash keeps coming, with $5,000 for third place, $4,000 for fourth place and $2,500 for fifth place.

Those who finish from sixth to eighth place will walk away from their computers $1,500 richer; ninth to 10th place is a $1,000 payday.

Rank anywhere from 31st to 60th place in the tournament and win $250 or, if you wind up somewhere between 61st and 100th place, take home $100.

The freerolls run throughout the day until April 7 at UltimateBet.
