2014 WSOP Event #3 Draws Record Player Pool

The 3rd event of the 2014 WSOP – $1,000 Pot Limit Omaha drew the largest no Hold’em player pool in WSOP history. There were 1,128 players seated for the three day event.
Day 1 of the event took its toll as more than 1,000 of the original players were sent packing. Only 108 players would make it to the 2nd day. Some of the more notable players to return for action were Phil Laak, Jason Somerville, Mario Ho and Umberto Brenes. By dinner time the field would be just 20 players large and would continue until a final table was named.
