As the 2009 World Series of Poker approaches many poker players are looking for a way to get to the
exclusive Main Event without forking over the $10K buy in fee. One way to avoid spending so much of
your hard earned money to get there is to win your way through an online satellite game.
There are plenty of online poker rooms that are offering WSOP Satellite games now. Below is a list of some of the sites that offer the best 2009 WSOP Satellites. With this year being the 40th anniversary of the World Series of Poker the satellite games to the events are bigger and better than ever.
The 2009 WSOP starts on May 28th and runs through July 15th when the final table of the Main Event has been named. The Main Event will then resume final table action on November 7th.

Winning a seat to the 2009 WSOP Main Event can also be done at Carbon Poker. Carbon is offering several different ways to win your WSOP prize package through Multi-table tournaments and through sit-n-go games. Both types of tournaments offer a low buy-in , $2.10 and $2.20 respectively, as the first step to winning your seat. Carbon players who win the low buy in events will win a seat to the price level tournament, this process is known as 'step satellites'. Players also have the option to buy directly into the satellite games with buy-ins going up to $460 for the WSOP Grand Final Qualifier. In that satellite game, one $12.5K price package will be awarded for every 30 players in the tournament with a maximum of 16 2009 WSOP price packages given away.
Full Tilt Poker has quite an impressive list of online WSOP satellite events currently running. Full Tilt is also offering a $10Million bonus to any player who qualifies for the Main Event through one of their satellites and then wins the Main Event. They are offering several different satellite games that have Main Event prize packages. Other 1009 WSOP satellite games include the Weekly Cash Qualifiers, Race for the Bracelet Satellite, Race to the Main Event Satellite, 150 Seat Guaranteed event, and the $200K Stimulus Qualifier. Buy-in prices for Full Tilt Satellite games range from $4.40 up to $1060.
